"Mystery Poker Run"
This years' Poker Run will have the Mystery Poker Run Format, Participants will purchase their playing poker cards at the registration and starting point ONLY. This year's starting point is at The Gashouse Restaurant and Bar.
Each card will consist of numbers 1-52. Participants will ride to each location and select 1 number per card that will be punched or stamped uniquely by your friendly Poker Run Officials.
Riders will not know what they hold for a poker hand until they reach the final stop, which is Finnegan's Wake Irish Pub in Avon.
At the final stop, there will be a large playing board posted that will reveal all 52 numbers and which cards they represent. Winners and losers will be determined at that time. Any ties and best hands will be decided through a "play-off" held at Finnegan's Wake Irish Pub.
All riders MUST go to all 5 locations in order to receive their punches. There will be NO "make-up" punches or stamps received at ANY location!!
Additional Cash Prizes will be raffled off at the After Party at Finnegan's Wake.
This format was favorable to us for a number of reasons. Since all 5 stops will be offering specials in the form of drinks and/or food, it promotes equal patronage to all sponsors. It also keeps the traffic moving at a much quicker and efficient pace both on the road and at each stop.
